While we in EMS LOVE new shiny toys or flashy treatments that were only used in the hospital, some patient treatments require us to take a step back and see our patients as more than just that traumatic accident.  Enter Trauma Informed Care, which is a way to treat our patients not only with their immediate medical needs but a way to prevent the long-lasting effects of trauma.  This requires us to take a step back and see trauma in all its forms and treat our patients by the better angels of our nature.  To understand this further, the But Why EMS team interviews:
