Foundations of Medical Oversight Course (FOMOC)

This course assists medical directors in providing quality medical oversight. It covers system issues and clinical care considerations that affect this role. The course encompasses system design, EMS clinician credentialing and training, clinical care, quality improvement, and state-specific legislation and regulation. Upon completion of this course, you can receive 6.5 AMA Category 1 credits. It is offered in the two formats below.

Host a Course for Your State

The course is instructed by a team of EMS physicians, but can be presented by trained local EMS physician leaders in a train-the-trainer approach with the help of state and/or local EMS offices.
