Duke University Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking experienced EM board certified physicians to join their team

The Department of Emergency Medicine (EM) at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking a dedicated and academically focused physician to join as a faculty in the Division of EMS. Our Division aims to promote exceptional prehospital care through research, education, and medical direction. Over the past decade, we have partnered with EMS agencies across the region for ground-breaking prehospital research in cardiac arrest, airway management, status epilepticus, pain management, blood resuscitation, and traumatic brain injury.

This position is required by the Committee on Accreditation of Education Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP) and the Commission on Accreditation for Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). The hours required for this position include, but are not limited to, monthly meetings with staff, lectures delivered to students, review of content and exam materials, assistance with scheduling physician and expert guest lectures, attendance at all advisory board meetings, and availability as needed to handle student issues relating to didactic or clinical work experiences. The medical director serves as the medical conscience of the system they direct and is an essential part of delivering quality education to initial and continuing learners. The fellowship provides an opportunity for the Medical Director to engage in academic teaching within an accredited paramedic program.

The Division of Prehospital and Disaster Medicine consists of 7 board certified EMS physicians who serve within the Department of Emergency Medicine and provide medical oversight to rural, suburban, and urban locations. This includes support to over 13 entities and prehospital educational programs located in the Upstate of South Carolina. Emergency Medicine Specialists, based in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking an Emergency Medical Services Board-Certified/Eligible physician to join our group and lead our health system’s EMS team.  The physician leader will be working alongside a full-time administrative partner to provide EMS leadership and support to the health system at the state level, as well as supporting local hospital-based EMS leadership teams. The ideal candidate is strategic and forward-thinking, has great leadership and communication skills and looks forward to continuing to grow the EMS program.
