Professional EMS Scholarships Awarded for NAEMSP 2020 Annual Meeting

January 27, 2020

Twelve EMS professionals have earned scholarships to attend the 2020 NAEMSP Annual Meeting, courtesy of the AMR Foundation for Research and Education and the National Association of EMS Physicians (NAEMSP®). The AMR/NAEMSP Professional EMS Scholarship provides funding for registration, housing and travel related to the conference, which takes place January 6-11, 2020, at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, California.

The scholarship recipients include EMS professional members: paramedics, EMTs and other EMS personnel who hope to not only learn about the latest advancements in the field, but also bring that knowledge home with them to share with their colleagues.

“Professional education is an important part of NAEMSP’s mission, and that includes making sure the opportunities we provide are accessible to those who need it,” said NAEMSP President David K. Tan, MD, EMT-T, FAAEM, FAEMS. “These individuals are all very deserving of this scholarship and I look forward to seeing them at the conference.”

“The AMR Foundation for Research and Education is extremely pleased to provide this professional development scholarship to these deserving EMS professionals”, said Lynn White, MS, FAEMS, and member of the AMR FRE Board of Directors. “We anticipate that this meeting will enhance their knowledge and interests in EMS.  There are myriad opportunities for participation and mentorship available through NAEMSP, and we trust they will take advantage of all NAEMSP has to offer and return to the meeting in future years.”
