Job Title: EMS Faculty/Assistant EMS Fellowship Director
Location: Emergency Medicine, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine
Appointment Type: Faculty – [Rank dependent on qualifications]
Reports To: Director, Division of EMS
The Department of Emergency Medicine (EM) at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking a dedicated and academically focused physician to join as a faculty in the Division of EMS.
Our Division aims to promote exceptional prehospital care through research, education, and medical direction. Over the past decade, we have partnered with EMS agencies across the region for ground-breaking prehospital research in cardiac arrest, airway management, status epilepticus, pain management, blood resuscitation, and traumatic brain injury. Our large Simulation Center and Mobile Simulation Platform support EMS education throughout the region. We provide education in BLS and disaster management to medical students, and the residency’s longitudinal experiences in EMS include online medical control, HEMS, and assistance with medical direction. Our Fellowship in EMS Medicine was one of the first to be accredited by the ACGME and is approved for three fellows per year; our 30 graduates since accreditation have become medical directors of large systems, fellowship program directors, researchers, and EMS division/section directors across the country.
