This role will contribute to the growth of Geisinger’s EMS service by providing:
- EMS Medical Direction in Rural/Suburban setting
- Oversight for health system-owned EMS Agency as well as oversight with community partner EMS
- Critical Care Transport medical direction
- Special Operations EMS
- Special Event/Mass Gathering
- PSAP Medical Direction
- Tactical EMS
- EMS Education – Geisinger EMS Training Institute, Community Partners, EMS Apprenticeship. Also educational opportunities with the community college paramedic training institute.
- Potential core faculty opportunity with new EM residency program
- Clinical Emergency Medicine – provide care at both community ED and tertiary care ED
